Riverdale: Will KJ Apa quit after shock confession? ‘I never wanted to be an actor’

Riverdale season four is right around the corner and excitement levels among fans couldn’t be higher. With a premiere date scheduled for Wednesday, October 9 on The CW and the following day in the UK on Netflix, fans are keen to see Archie (played by KJ Apa) back in action. However, actor Apa has thrown his future on the show into doubt just weeks before it returns.

He’s also performed with the rest of The CW series cast on a handful of hits available on Apple Music and Spotify.

However, the latest revelation has fans worried he could leave Riverdale in order to focus solely on music.

Apa has promised new music is to come although is yet to reveal exactly when.

Could it mean acting takes a back seat as he pursues something he’s “super-passionate” about?

It is worth noting Apa hasn’t spoken publicly about any plans to leave the series just yet, however.

The New Zealand-born actor has been cast in upcoming thriller Altar Rock alongside NCIS: Los Angeles star James Remar.

He will also lead the cast of I Still Believe, a heartfelt drama coming to cinemas next year.
