PS4 Surprise UPDATE: Download a free PlayStation console game bonus TODAY

PS4 gamers have a new demo to check out this weekend on the PS4 and PS4 Pro consoles.

Sony makes a habit of dropping new content free of charge on the PSN and this weekend is no exception.

Fans can head over to the PS Store today and download the upcoming RPG, Mistover as part of a timed trial.

And unlike many other demos, we are unable to provide a review for the full game as it hasn’t been launched yet.

Mistover is scheduled to release on the PlayStation platform on October 10, 2019, making this a good time to check out what is on offer.

As mentioned above, the new game from KRAFTON is an RPG roguelike, dungeon crawler, which shares aesthetics with games like Darkest Dungeon.

According to the details shared with the new demo release, this timed trial two playable stages, six playable classes and customizable Crew options.

It also mentions that there is no time trial, however, the PlayStation Store page states otherwise.

It might be that this hasn’t been updated since it was released originally with a time trial attached.

The new expanded demo features the Expedition Corps setting out on their adventure and allows players to control party formation,

Gamers will also be able to buy items and manage inventory before entering the first dungeon, the Misty Forest.

“The unexpected appearance of the Vortex, Pillar of Despair, unleashed dreadful creatures that brutally raided the world,” the official game description reads. Defenceless and vulnerable, mankind was soon on the verge of extinction.

“When all hope was lost, a miracle happened and the creatures suddenly vanished. Desperate to prevent the next invasion, the survivors created a group called the ‘Corps’ that journeys into the Vortex from whence the creatures emerged. You will lead the Corps to reveal the secrets behind the incidents.

“Will the human race succeed in changing the course of their destiny?”

The good news is that the new Mistover demo only requires around 6GB of space on the PS4 console, making it an easy download.

And the Mistover Trial is just one of a number of new options that have been added to the PlayStation Store this month.

Gamers looking for a different kind of challenge can also download and try out The Legend of Heros: Trails of Cold Steel III demo.

Publishers NiS America has confirmed that Trails of Cold Steel contains the entire prologue and carries over save data to the full game, which is scheduled to launch on October 22.

Fans can also explore the in-game library featuring information on the previous two instalments, along with character bios and other terminology. This should make it easy for both veterans and newcomers to get up to speed with what is happening in the Trails franchise.

“In Trails of Cold Steel III, you play as Rean Schwarzer, a graduate from Thors Military Academy who’s starting his new life as an instructor at the academy’s branch campus,” a message from the game developer reads.

“Heralded as a war hero, he and his peers of the renowned Class VII played a pivotal role in the empire’s civil war a few years prior.

“Now, the peace is disturbed once again and Rean must lead his students — the new generation of Class VII — through this darkness to find a brighter future.”

But while Save Data will pass over from the demo version of the game, other features are set to be disabled.

Gamers also have the choice of download the current PS Plus games lineup for September 2019, which will be replaced next week.

Until Tuesday, October 1, subscribers can claim both Batman: Arkham Knight and Darksiders 3 for PS4.
