Melania Trump super fan behind viral accounts admits she’s scared to reveal identity

The fan, a teenager from Maryland in the US, claims she is unable to be publicly proud of her work because of fear over backlash in a tense political climate. Talking to the New York Post, Eve, who refused to provide her second name, told the publication she immediately took a liking to the Ivanka, Donald Trumps’s daughter.

Eve said she saw Ivanka talking at the Republican National Convention in 2016, and admired her composure and style.

This experience led to the teen setting up and Instagram fan page dedicated to the first daughter, called “AlwaysIvanka”.

The account’s following immediately boomed, and in the days following Mr Trump’s victory, it gained more than 10,000 followers, including Ivanka herself.

Over the course of the next six months, Eve was concerned about the level of media coverage the First Lady, Melania Trump, was receiving.

Eve cited talks and work Melania was conducting in the White House, and said she couldn’t understand why the FLOTUS wasn’t getting as much as attention as she felt she deserved.

This led the teenager to start a matching account, called “AlwaysMelania”.

Today, both accounts popularity can be seen in their following.

While Ivanka’s fan account boasts 125,000 followers, Melania’s comes in at 240,000.

They are among the most popular pages of their kind.

Currently, the largest fan account for Melania is ‘MelaniaTrump.style,” a page devoted to the fashion choice the FLOTUS makes and has a following of 292,000.

While Eve has managed to make some money from the accounts with sponsored posts and merchandise, she views her work as merely a hobby.

Her hobby, however, sees her devote a great deal of time in keeping the account, making sure the hundreds of thousands of followers are kept up to date with whatever the Trump women are doing.

The New York Post drew attention to similar fan accounts of celebrities and the like, with those who created them often taking public pride in what they do.

Yet, as the publication reports, Eve does not take such outward pride in her page, not least because she does not want to.

The secrecy comes down to the political climate surrounding the Trumps and the White House, in which a feverish anti-Trump atmosphere burns away.

According to Eve, she does not feel comfortable in telling her friends or the world about her activities.

She said: “With the current political climate, I prefer erring on the side of caution.”

There are currently around a dozen Ivanka fan accounts on Instagram which enjoy a following of more than 7,000 each.

The top dozen accounts following the FLOTUS have more than 10,000 followers each.

According to the New York Post these fan pages are mostly popular among women, who enjoy keeping up to date with what the Trump ladies are wearing or doing – often engaged in activities not reported by the media.

The accounts, then, act as personal news platforms for the FLOTUS and first daughter, yet are hard to maintain as Eve explains little press coverage makes it difficult to find photos to post.

The New York Post speculates that the lack of press coverage, and lack of fashion coverage particularly for former model Melania, is intended on isolating the Trump women out of the pubic’s eye.

It says this was perfectly highlighted when Vogue, that has a tradition of placing first ladies on their front cover, never invited Melania to feature as the FLOTUS.

Melania began modelling when she was a five-year-old, culminating in her being signed to a modelling agency in Milan when she was 18, where her career progressed through the ranks, being featured on several men’s magazines.
