Gears 4 let you earn Credits through gameplay to get the cool skins from Gear Packs. You could optionally buy packs, and they had the Esports stuff for $-only. Gears 5 puts all the cool skins behind the $-only Iron paywall.
It’s not cool, especially when they were trying to get props for “paving the way in the gaming industry by moving away from loot boxes”. LoL, such BS.
The dev team needs to learn how to do basic coding, before nickel and diming people. There’s still no quit penalties in ranked, because they haven’t fixed the issue of servers kicking players. That makes ranked gameplay a joke currently.
