Steph McGovern: ‘As soon as this baby is out!’ BBC Breakfast star in startling discovery

Steph McGovern, 37, took to Twitter and shared a snap with her 377,000 followers which showed a board with her name engraved on it in gold letters. The BBC business presenter admitted it was on of her “favourite discoveries of 2019” as her name was among some other famous faces which included comedian Bob Mortimer, 60, cricketer Ben Stokes, 28, and comedian Vic Reeves, 60. The correspondent tweeted: “One of my favourite discoveries of 2019 is that there is a bar in my hometown that has a sign saying this…” The sign read: “People who can drink here for free…Bob Mortimer, Steph McGovern, Vic Reeves, Gazza, Chris Rea, Mike Ashly, Juninho, Roy ‘Chubby’ Brown, Bryan Robson, Ben Stokes, Steve Gibson.”

Steph added: “As soon as this baby is out…guess where I’m going. Thank you Sherlock’s on Baker Street! #UTB”(sic)

Sherlock’s pub in Middlesborough specialises in real ale and fine spirits and has cheekily offered the famous faces a free drink if they make an appearance.

Fans flocked to comment on the post, as one person quipped: “I’m changing my name to Steph McGovern!”

Another person commented: “Get you – mentioned in the same breath as Juninho. You’ve definitely made it now.”

While a third person added: “Steph on the first night out post baby,” followed by a video clip of a person throwing back beverages.

The BBC favourite who is currently on maternity leave is expecting her first child with her girlfriend, and is reportedly due in November.

“In a panic I spun round to aim sick in toilet. I then p***ed on the floor.”

In response to the tweet that was fittingly illustrated with emojis, fans flocked to agree with the star, sharing their thoughts and some of their own personal experiences.

One person quipped: “At least it didn’t happen on live tv!!”

“Pregnancy is such a magical time!” another person added.

The presenter shared her struggle with morning sickness on BBC Breakfast back in July.

The mum-to-be said it had been a “rough start” to her pregnancy and that she once almost threw up on co-host Charlie Stayt.
