Matt, 45, was joined by Pointless star Alexander Armstrong, 49, where he spoke about his latest touring show, as well as his time on Pointless, and a bit about his career history, delving into his past ventures.
The pair were joined by guest chefs Cyrus Todiwala, 62, Ching-He Huang 40, and wine expert Jane Parkinson on today’s instalment, as the chefs cooked a range of exciting dishes on the show.
One moment left host Matt questioning whether Alexander was having a crisis over his career live on the show.
As the questions turned to his career, and how he had managed to work his way into so many different disciplines, it seemed Alexander was left at a loss for words.
Reflecting on his career so far, he told the host: “If you do a job like me… you kind of jump on a log when you’re 22 or something and see where it’s going to float you…you say yes to everything and see where you end up.

“These are all people who started out just working in showbiz in some way.”
However, Matt told the presenter he was being modest, commenting: “I think you’re selling yourself short, you play instruments, you sing, comic.”
It all seemed too much for Alexander to bare, as he was left speechless.
“Are you having an on air break down?” Matt queried.
“I do a few but I’m not very good at them… I think standing up in front of everyone terrifies me” Matt confessed.
As the topic turned to Pointless, the pair were speaking about their experiences of the show, of which Matt has appeared previously as a contestant.
However, he did not perform well, revealing that “I did it with Olly (Smith) and he was really cross!”
“I had a teaching assistant at my child’s school come up to me laughing ‘you were a pointless answer!’” the host confessed.
Talking about his love for the show, Alexander joked that “we were pretty inept when we started out…the BBC were so supportive and allowed us to make a virtue of how rubbish we were.”
He continued about how the key to the show’s success was that him and co-host Richard Osman have been friends for years, and “make each other laugh.”
Alexander expressed no desire for the show to end anytime soon, saying: “It’s been lovely, we love doing it and for now everyone still likes watching it.”
