Just after reports came out that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were looking forward to a calmer future without any arguments, it now looks like things are back on a downward spiral once again.
Recent reports indicate that Jolie has not been too happy with the fact that Pitt has been hanging out with Kanye West so much, and has even brought up their children in the argument to force the actor to reconsider his position.
Many find it strange that Jolie would be so controlling towards Pitt even though they are estranged, and some have indeed doubted the validity of the statements.
However, in the context of everything observers have seen from Jolie and Pitt in the past, it is certainly not out of the question that she might take some unusual steps in her attempt to gain the upper hand.
Apparently, the main issue stems from the fact that by hanging out with West; Pitt was also putting himself around the Kardashians on a regular basis — and that was something Jolie would not stand for.
A source told Radar Online: “Angelina can’t stand the Kardashian clan and wants her children nowhere near them, and she’s told Brad as much. She’s pretty much issued him an ultimatum: It’s Kanye or the kids.”
It is not clear if she would be okay with her estranged husband maintaining a relationship with West without involving the Kardashians, but it does not look like Jolie would be willing to consider such an arrangement in the first place.
In any case, Pitt himself has been relatively quiet on the matter and has not shared his side of the story.
The producer has been talking about spending a year and a half in Alcoholics Anonymous to battle his alcohol-related issues.
He told the New York Times: “I had taken things as far as I could take it, so I removed my drinking privileges. You had all these men sitting around being open and honest in a way I have never heard. It was this safe space where there was little judgment, and therefore little judgment of yourself.”
Pitt and Jolie ended their 12-year relationship in 2016 after an altercation on a plane while intoxicated, according to reports.
