The Good Doctor returned to ABC with third season this week as fans reunited with Dr Shaun Murphy (played by Freddie Highmore) as a young autistic surgeon with Savant syndrome. The US drama has been a big hit with viewers since it was first released, quickly becoming one of ABC’S most popular shows. Here’s everything you need to know about streaming the latest outing.
How to watch and download The Good Doctor
The first episode of The Good Doctor season three was released on Monday (September 23) on ABC.
The episode aired at 10pm EST and 9pm PST in the US.
Now new episodes of the show will be released each Monday on the channel.
After the episode has aired, viewers will then be able to watch it on ABC Go.
In order to do this, they will need to have the channel included in their television package.
Fans hoping to the watch the series on the go are able to download it on this platform.

For UK fans, the show is expected to return to Sky Witness roughly a month later in October if it follows the same pattern as previous outings.
Once the episodes have aired, they will be available on the streaming platform NOW TV for viewers to stream.
NOW TV offers viewers the chance to download episodes on its app to be able to watch offline for a set amount of time.
The platform also offers a seven day free trial for viewers to watch the latest episode for free.
After this, subscription costs begin at £7.99 a month to watch the content.

What will happen in The Good Doctor season 3?

According to ABC’s official synopsis: “Shaun wrestles with new cases and commitments this season, and might even find himself in love.”
The end of season two revealed that Dr Murphy could have love on the cards in the new series.
The trailer for the latest season hints that the he will be heading out on a date with Carly (Jasika Nicole Pruitt).

The tagline asks: “Mondays this fall… will Shaun find love?”
Viewers, just like Murphy’s colleagues at the hospital, will be desperate to find out how it all went in the new series.
Alongside this, the latest series seems to also have its fair share of drama happening in the hospital.
Season three looks like it will have plenty of new and challenging cases for the doctors to take on.

The trailer also hints that Murphy may end up facing some consequences for his actions as one patient tells him that she will report him to the medical board.
A number of the principal cast and doctors at San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital will be returning for another outing.
This is expected to include Antonia Thomas as surgical resident Dr Claire Browne, Hill Harper as Dr Marcus Andrews and Nicholas Gonzalez as attending surgeon Dr Neil Melendez.
