FIFA 20 Standard Edition release date news for PS4 and Xbox One

EA Sports has offered several different ways to kick off your FIFA 20 adventure early on PS4 and Xbox One.

But for those who have been content to wait for the Standard Edition to arrive, the official launch is almost here.

As the name suggests, The FIFA 20 Standard Edition comes with limited rewards and most of these are only open to those who have pre-ordered a copy.

The official release date for the FIFA 20 Standard Edition is Thursday, September 27, and as mentioned above, there are different ways to play early.

FIFA fans can sign up to EA Access and enjoy a ten-hour trial to pass the time waiting for the official Standard launch.

EA Access membership costs £3.99 per month or £19.99 for a year’s worth of membership on PS4 or Xbox One.

And you will also be able to play major EA titles such as Battlefield V, Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Anthem.

But you will still need to buy a full version of FIFA 20 on PS4 or Xbox One after the ten-hour trial is over.

Gamers also have the choice of picking up the pricier Champions Edition, which provides early access to the game.

However, this period is almost over, meaning you would need to also want all the other pre-order rewards to make it worth a purchase.

Another way to play FIFA 20 early is by calling around your local retail stores and finding out if any are selling copies early.

This sometimes happens at certain GAME shops and supermarkets but it isn’t guaranteed.

One place we do know is holding such an event for fans is in the United States.

Best Buy will be selling the FIFA 20 Standard Edition today from 9pm onward.

But if you’ve already pre-ordered a normal copy of the game and won’t be doing any of the above, you’ll have to wait a little longer to start playing.

Digital platforms, such as the PlayStation and Microsoft Stores, are expected to launch FIFA 20 at midnight local time on September 27.

Here’s more about the Standard Edition of FIFA 20 from GAME, who revealed: “This will get you the full base game of FIFA 20, but if you pre-order, you’ll get a tonne of goodies.

“This includes a handy Loan Icon Player Pick for Ultimate Team, giving you a handy start in building your new squad, alongside a Rare Gold Pack you’ll get weekly for three weeks, and special edition kits to make your squad look snazzy.

“Plus, if you pre-order at GAME, you can get a NOW TV One Month Sports Mobile Pass, that gives you access to Sky Sports Premier League, alongside four other Sky Sports channels.”

FIFA 20 is releasing on all major platforms on Thursday, September 27.
