Coronation Street spoilers: Paul Foreman kills Kel in pure rage after dark revelation?

Coronation Street has never been a soap to shy away from difficult topics and it was announced earlier this summer how they would be exploring Paul Foreman’s (played by Peter Ash) historic sex abuse. But it seems the storyline could take a drastic turn as Paul issues revenge on his tormentor.

Earlier this summer, Kel (Joseph Alessi) turned up in Weatherfield hoping to win back Bernie Winter’s (Jane Hazlegrove) heart.

In doing so, he has got his feet comfortably under the coffee table and viewers have seen Paul struggle with his presence.

In recent scenes, Kel followed Paul outside the Rovers Return to the back courtyard to have a quiet word with him.

For those watching at home, Paul was obviously uncomfortable with being around Kel and following this, he has started to lash out in anger.

The soap has explained how Paul was sexually abused and groomed into thinking he was in a consensual relationship with Kel as a child.

No one knows what has happened except Paul and Kel, and recently Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) after he guessed and confronted his ex-partner.

Responding in anger, Paul was adamant he wouldn’t have allowed himself to be abused by Kel, and insisted the vicar back off.

In turn, Billy went to visit David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) in prison to try and find out whether there was anything he could do to get Paul to open up to him.

Left angry and upset, Paul staggers towards home to find Kel and confront him and the pair end up down an alleyway.

As Kel tries to explain how he feels, he is sudden overcome with emotion and lunges towards Kel trying to kiss him.

But the response is damaging as Kel retracts and then pushes Paul firmly away.

Horrified and embarrassed by the situation, Kel comes to realise Paul only fancied him when he was a young boy.

Awkwardness turns to anger and Paul lashes out, punching Kel several times, unleashing years of fury until he is knocked unconscious.

While further spoilers have suggested Kel will be rushed to hospital to receive urgent teacher, will he even survive the brutal beating?

Coronation Street have not given many details about Kel’s duration on the Street, therefore it is possible his exit could be in the form of being murdered.

Should this be the case, will Billy help Paul get out of the sticky situation.

Coronation Street returns tonight at 7:30pm on ITV.
