Melania Trump glows in £2K Gucci coat as she joins Donald Trump at UN Assembly in New York

Melania Trump, 49, and her husband Donald Trump, 73, returned to the city where they first fell in love today – New York. The couple were attending the UN General Assembly at the UN Headquarters. The First Lady looked chic in a bright cream coat by luxury Italian fashion house Gucci. The belted wool crepe coat was easily identified thanks to the double G clasp, which is a symbol of the house, on the belt.

Melania kept the coat buttoned up, but a white pencil skirt could be seen peeping out underneath when she sat down.

She teamed a pair of white and grey pointed toe shoes with the coat.

The mum-of-one wore her caramel locks in loose waves over her shoulders.

Allowing the coat to take centre stage, Melania opted not to wear a necklace or attention-grabbing earrings.

Diamond rings, however, could be seen twinkling on her fingers.

She kept to her favourite classic makeup, opting for pink gloss and a heavy sweep of bronzer, finishing the look with long lashes and perfect brows.

Melania started her day in a New York institution – the Stock Exchange. During the visit, she met with students from the United Nations International School before ringing the bell to open the Exchange.

Sticking with her love of designers, Melania wore a black fitted dress, thought to be from Prada, and black killer heels.

The mum-of-one posted pictures from her trip on Instagram and highlighted her “Be Best” campaign.

She wrote: “Thank you Stacey Cunningham & @NYSE for welcoming me & celebrating Be Best with such bright & uplifting students from UN International School.”

Her dress had a high neck and short cap sleeves; similar Prada designs are on sale for £2,000.

The designer dress had a fitted top which pinched her in at the waist with a thick black belt.

The dress had a pencil skirt which cut off just at the knee and boasted two large pockets.
