Strictly Come Dancing: How Stacey Dooley and Joe Sugg both found love on Strictly

Strictly: It Takes Two is back as Rylan Clark Neal joins Zoe Ball for the first time. The two will catch up with Strictly stars of past and present and tonight’s guests include last year’s winner Stacey Dooley and runner-up Joe Sugg. Here’s how both of them found love on the popular BBC ballroom dancing show.

During Strictly Come Dancing: The Professionals last week, the dancers explained that before they team up with a celebrity, producers assess the chemistry between them.

This is done in a speed dating style dance, where the celebrity contestants get to do a few moves with each dancer.

Discussing these dances, Katya implied Kevin tries to show producers who he would work best with.

She revealed: “You can really see when somebody tries to show there’s extra chemistry.”

Janette Manrara asked: “Who do you think? I am really bad at this.”

Katya confirmed she was talking about Strictly colleague Kevin, who revealed he had chemistry with Stacey the first time they meet in the speed-dating dance off.

Another celebrity who found love on the popular BBC show was Stacey’s runner-up Joe Sugg.

Joe has been in a relationship with Dianne Buswell, his dancing partner from Strictly Come Dancing, since late 2018.

Throughout the series, Joe and Dianne’s chemistry was evident with fans.

The two made it official in December 2018 when the YouTube sensation announced the happy news just after the Strictly results.

He posted a photo of the pair on Instagram writing: “I may not have won the glitter ball, but I’ve won something a million times more special.”

Strictly: It Takes Two will air on BBC One for the first two weeks at a slightly earlier time of 5.15pm, before returning to its home on BBC Two 6.30pm Monday –Thursday and 6pm Fridays.
