It turns out that Oprah Winfrey had a very scary health problem not too long ago! The TV personality revealed that it was so bad that even her doctor needed a hug!
While on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Oprah said that she was rushed to the hospital after her overseas trip.
She was convinced she had a cold but it would just not go away no matter what.
Upon reaching the hospital, she was diagnosed with pneumonia and started taking antibiotics.
However, her health was still not improving, despite the fact that she was taking her medication.
As a result, the TV mogul decided to consult a lung specialist.
Oprah told Ellen that ‘He puts a stethoscope here [her heart] and I see the ‘Oh s**t’ face. It’s like, ‘Oh my, something is wrong with you,’ and I can see it, and he did not hide it. I said, ‘I told you that it sounds like a rattlesnake in there.’ He said, ‘You must cancel everything immediately.’ I have never canceled anything in my life. He said, ‘You cannot fly anywhere for 1 month’ and then he had 18 vials of blood drawn and I thought that this must be serious because I saw his face.’
Thankfully, things started to improve and in a week, she was a lot better.
She recalled that ‘He called me every single day to make sure that I was using the inhaler and taking the antibiotics, and when I walked in and was better, he thanked me 3 times for getting better, and said, ‘Can I have a hug?’ And I could tell that he was like, ‘Not on my watch is this going to happen.’’
That sounds like it was really scary!
