Kelly Osbourne Admits Hosting The Emmys Now That She’s Sober Is Anxiety-Inducing

According to a report from HollywoodLife, Kelly Osbourne is getting ready to host this year’s Emmy Awards on the 22nd of September for FOX, and while she’s certainly excited, she’s also starting to get a bit nervous, but not for the reason you’d think.

During a conversation with Hollywood Life, the daughter of the Osbourne family, Sharon and Ozzy, 70, and 66 dished on the opportunity to host the Emmys following her past struggles with substance abuse issues.

Kelly said to reporters from the aforementioned outlet that it was a “real test” for her and there have been rumors of her coming back to hosting red carpet events again. According to Kelly, she wasn’t ready last year, however, in 2019, she’s in a much “better place and it is something that (she) wants to keep doing.”

In addition to handling her emotions well, Kelly said it’s an added stress worrying about what’s the proper dress to wear. Osbourne claimed it’s so easy to sit and contemplate whether it was the right decision or not.

In her view, the most important thing is to have a good time and put on a great show, rather than on how one looks. When push comes to shove, Kelly explained, someone will always look a bit better than you so it’s best to just enjoy yourself.

As for what she’s been up to lately, Kelly claimed she has other projects in the works, including one that revolves around addiction. Kelly said she has a script about a documentary regarding the opioid crisis and other more fun positive things.

She’s not permitted to discuss it yet with the public, so she’ll stay silent on it for now. Kelly has even spoken with the other individuals working on the project, however, she hasn’t even told them about her involvement and participation.

There’s no question the Osbournes are used to being in the spotlight. Earlier this month, Sharon recently revealed her new look after undergoing cosmetic facial surgery.
