Frozen 2 trailer: Elsa’s new love interest UNVEILED with major twist – did you spot it?

The latest trailer for Frozen 2 has been released, and fans are squealing in glee at all the stunning new footage of the upcoming Disney smash.

But through the drama and the adventure, there are a lot of new characters introduced – in the form of the people living in the Enchanted Forest.

The group have been trapped there for years, but Elsa (played by Idina Menzel) – equipped with her magical ice powers – can hear the call of them.

Anna (Kristen Bell) and Olaf (Josh Gad) in tow, the group head off on an adventure to find and free the forest from the spell it’s been put under.

There has been much speculation over whether Elsa will get a love interest in the second movie, especially now Anna is paired up with loveable oaf Kristoff, has the mysterious woman been revealed in the form of the Enchanted Forest’s queen?

After learning Arendelle is in serious trouble, the troll people advise Anna and Elsa to go in search of the entity calling out to the queen’s magic.

“Find who is calling to you, they may have answers,” the head troll says, but when Elsa and her family make it to the Enchanted Forest, they receive a less than welcome arrival.

“The mist parted for us,” Elsa attempts to explain at their unexpected entrance, but someone who appears to be the leader scoffs at the idea.

“impossible, where did you learn magic?” he asks the queen.

And as the adventure continues, the trailer delivers a couple of sneaky shots at the rest of the Enchanted Forest’s people, with one depicting a woman holding a fluffy mountain pet.

Will sparks fly between her and Elsa after repeated calls from many fans for the queen to have a female love interest?

What’s more, Elsa is struggling to keep control of her intense power, and the troll leader warns Anna she may need to step up and keep her sister grounded.

“Magic is very alluring, without you, she may lose herself to it,” he says gravely.

Doing just that, Anna gets herself in serious trouble and Elsa is worried for her sister’s safety.

“You can’t just follow me into fire,” she scolds, but Anna remains fierce.

“Then don’t run into fire,” the younger sibling sobs.

Commenting on the arrival of the new people, one person said on Twitter: “The Queen of Autumn. Curious as to how she fits in. Loving all the strong female characters #Frozen2.”

“#Frozen2 looks incredible! I’m not usually excited for sequels, but, I’m super excited for this,” another shared.

A third agreed: “I’m looking forward to #Frozen2 even more than before. That trailer was good!”

While a fourth joked: “Disney’s got a thing for adorable reptiles and I am here for it. #Frozen2 #Tangled.”

Frozen 2 is released in cinemas November 22.
