Coronation Street spoilers: Daniel Osbourne makes shock decision after Sinead Tinker's fun

ITV soap Coronation Street will see the departure of Sinead Tinker, (played by Katie McGlynn) who viewers saw discover a lump on her neck on her wedding day as she married husband Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) but what can viewers expect from the final scenes of her death?

After Sinead’s tragic death, Daniel feels like an emotional wreck as pictures have already emerged, showing him passed out on the street as he drowns his sorrows with a bottle of booze.

As Sinead’s funeral day arrives, viewers will see a lost Daniel shutting himself off from the world as he tries to ignore what is happening around him.

Daniel will find it difficult to cope with the reality of Sinead’s death as the time arrives to lay the beloved character to rest, and understandably so, he will go out for a walk with their baby son, Bertie.

However, Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) will track down Daniel as he is worried that he may regret giving up his last opportunity to bid farewell to the love of his life and the mother of their baby son.

But has Daniel already made his mind up?

Daniel really doesn’t have much time left with Sinead as her passing approaches in upcoming episodes which air this October.

The episodes have set to be some of the most harrowing and heartbreaking scenes to be filmed this year and it seems that the aftermath will not get any better any time soon.

Speaking on This Morning earlier this month, Katie said Sinead will not have a miraculous recovery and told Corrie bosses, Kate Oates and Ian MacLeod she wanted her character to die because that is the reality of many women.

Rob and Katie have been working closely with charity, Mummy’s Star and have spoken to women who have had cervical cancer to formulate their harrowing storyline.

Sinead Tinker was diagnosed with cervical cancer last year and, after discovering the lump on her wedding day, she recently learned that the cancer is terminal.

The soap star has spoken out about filming her final scene and said: “We done a lot of heartbreaking stuff and then this one scene was Sinead’s last dialogue and I was just sat there and started crying,” she explained to Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.

The emotional scenes have been so overwhelming for people that Katie received messages of support from many women.

“They’ve messaged me saying they went for the scan, they’ve gone for the smear test and they’ve found pre-cancerous cells,” Katie told the hosts.

Rob has also shown support to his co star and recently tweeted to his 26k followers: “Thank you for the kind comments about @itvcorrie #cancer storyline. Important story and I’m playing opposite the brilliant @KatieMcGlynn.

Whilst speaking  to the Radio Times in June, Rob was asked if he would miss his on-screen partner and said: “I would really really miss her. I mean it would not be like I would never see her. I mean we are mates off-screen as well so I would see her again.

Addressing what the next few months would entail for Daniel and Sinead, “Everything a family entails, the good, bad and the ugly”, he added.

Coronation Street returns tonight at 7.30pm on ITV.
