With the third round of heats already in full swing, Wednesday night’s action saw John left a little confused by the contestant’s struggle of grasping the concept of how to construct a lasagne.
Elizabeth Bourgine, 62, and Martha Reeves, 78, challenged themselves with making the Italian dish when tasked with feeding 120 pupils at the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson School.
The Death in Paradise star couldn’t get her head around the assembly and had to be instructed by her team mate and the head chef as to how to finish the dish.
John remarked: “Meat sauce, white sauce, pasta. Meat sauce, white sauce, pasta. How can you struggle with that concept?”
