Lewis Hamilton Instagram: F1 star on not giving a 'f**k' amid Singapore Grand Prix loss

Lewis Hamilton, 34, shared some words of wisdom with his 12.8 million Instagram followers today before competing in the Singapore Grand Prix. The British F1 champion shared a photo of himself looking focused in his Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport racing gear. He defiantly told fans in the caption: “Don’t ever be afraid to be yourself, change for no one, give zero f**ks what people think and focus on being the best YOU you can be. “Only you will know who and what that is. Sending you all positivity.”

Lewis then added the hashtags: “#teamlh #wewinandwelosetogether.”

The racing driver went on to finish in fourth place in the Grand Prix, losing out to Ferrari rival Sebastian Vettel, 32.

Fans took to the comments section of Lewis’ post to share their thoughts about his advice.

One person wrote: “Correct Champ!! You do you as only YOU know how to!!… sending that positivity right back to you on wings of peace, love, and glory!”

Another added: “Very true. Thanks for inspiring all of us. It is very awesome.”

“I love this about you Lewis. You are you, irrespective of what anyone else does, says or thinks. I’m with you as always today, it will be a hard race but my support never waivers! All love and light for today. Let’s go,” a third fan commented.

Ahead of the race Lewis admitted he was surprised by Ferrari’s pace.

The current world championship leader said: “We obviously came into the weekend knowing we would have a fight with the Red Bulls,

“And it’s just knowing how the Ferraris have been in other places with high downforce, they’ve not been so strong – Budapest for example – and all of a sudden they’ve brought an upgrade here and it seems to have worked.

“Of course we were not expecting to have such a strong performance from them and to have that deficit to them. I like how close it was between us all and hopefully that puts us in good stead for more good fights.”
