Laura Tobin husband: The inseparable couple who met at university

Laura Tobin, 37, currently presents the weather segment on Good Morning Britain. Having been married since 2010, the meteorologist announced live on air that she was expecting her first child in 2017. But who is Laura Tobin’s husband?

Laura Tobin has been married to Dean Brown since 2010.

She met her husband in while they were students at Reading University, where Laura was studying Physics and Meteorology.

Speaking of her student days in a report by the Daily Mirror, Laura said: “Guys would fall in love with me and I didn’t like that.

“The gushy letters, the flowers and the “I love you so much…you’re my world”…it was all a bit too much and I felt intimidated.”

Laura added: “The thing about Dean was he didn’t become too intense, send me loads of flowers, and he didn’t love me more than anything on Earth.

“Our relationship just grew and after about six months we fell in love with each other.

“When my friends pointed out we’d been dating for two months and I hadn’t dumped him, I was like “Oh yeah!” It wasn’t scary and I knew it was meant to be.

“14 years later we’re still going.”

In a previous interview, Laura said she and her husband may not have children as she said at the time she found babies “really scary”.

However, in 2017 a jubilant Laura announced she was pregnant live on air.

On announcing her baby news on GMB, Piers Morgan said: ““You look blooming marvellous Laura and we’re thrilled for you. Great news.

He quipped: “I can forecast endless sleepless nights but lots of joy.”

Laura and Dean later welcomed a baby girl, named Charlotte Blossom.

Laura explained that her daughter’s name is derived from the town where her husband had proposed to her, Charlottenburg in Germany.

Originally from Northampton, Laura began her career at the Met Office.

Over the course of her career, Laura has worked for a number of BBC programmes, including BBC News, BBC World News and BBC Radio 5 Live.

She crossed over to ITV to present the weather segment on Daybreak in 2012, which would later become Good Morning Britain.

Rather bizarrely, along with other Good Morning Britain presenters, Laura had a gruesome cameo in the Sharknado 5 movie, in a scene where the GMB studio came under attack from the sharknado.
