They say fashion comes back in style, and Ivanka Trump proved this as she wore a Bob Mackie dress 28 years after her mother Ivana Trump wore the exact same dress. The 37-year-old was pictured wearing an ombre, sparkling dress dress by the American designer, as she attended night two of Misha Nonoo’s wedding in Rome, Italy. The high neck dress was perfect for the star-studded occasion, which saw A-list stars such as Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom as well as royals Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attend. Reaching just above Ivanka’s knees, the glitzy number showed off her toned legs. Ivanka teamed the dress with a pair of gold barely-there one strap heel sandals, which complemented the outfit nicely.
She wore her blonde hair swept back, with a side part and her fringe down one side of her face.
Going all out, Ivanka sported full lashes and a red lip, which although bold went perfectly.
She let the dress do the talking, and opted for minimal jewellery, wearing a tiny pair of gold studs.
Ivanka’s husband Jared Kushner looked equally dapper as he posed besides his wife in a navy suit and tie.
Ivanka’s mother and Donald Trump’s first wife Ivana Trump wore the very same dress back in 1991, and her daughter has since borrowed it twice.
The first time Ivanka wore the show-stopped dress was back in 2014 when she wore the look to celebrate the wedding of fashion designer Joseph Altuzarra.
However, Ivanka did not have to shell out the five-to-six-figure price tag that would normally come with a Mackie piece, and instead got the dress for free from her mother’s closet.
It comes after the mum-of-three, to Arabella Rose, eight, Joseph, five, and Theodore, three, stepped out in a daring dress for the first day of Misha’s wedding to oil tycoon Mikey Hess.
As she attended the star-studded wedding on Friday, Ivanka channelled old Hollywood glamour in a gorgeous peach gown.
She was pictured looking stunning, as she disembarked from her vehicle with Jared Kushner.
The floor length gown had a cape-style design, which was tied appropriately around Ivanka’s neck, disguising the daring neckline.
Ivanka wore the pleated dress with a silver belt, which cinched in at her waist and accentuated her curves.
Matching her accessories to the the belt, she held a metallic clutch purse in one hand and wore gold earrings.
The mum-of-three wore her blonde hair in an elegant bob.
Opting for the natural look, Ivanka went for minimal make-up, choosing bronzed tones and a nude lip, which complemented her dress.
Ivanka and her husband jetted into the Italian capital earlier that day.
Mr Hess, 33, who is heir to the family’s £1.9billion empire, is best friends with Jared’s brother Josh, 34 who he met at Harvard.
