According to a report from E Online, Chris Brown is bothering some of Rihanna’s fan base yet again for his social media remarks and compliments. The singer-songwriter sparked the ire of Rihanna fans when he left several comments on Rihanna’s lingerie photos.
Today, Rihanna shared the lingerie post on her Instagram which features her laying down wearing a bra, underwear, and gloves. The image was created to promote her new collection, Savage x Fenty. It’s clear that Chris Brown liked what he saw because he left many comments on her Instagram.
Alluding to the lamp in the photograph, Chris said he wanted to “be the lamp,” along with a smirking face emoji. The pop-star added two more emojis, another smirking face emoji as well as a red-faced emoji. The reason for the social media backlash stems from the assault on Rihanna ten years ago when he and the singer were dating.
As fans of the ex-couple know, he has received criticism in the past for commenting on some of her posts, including back in May when he referred to the Barbadian singer as a “queen,” and asked when her new music was coming out.
And a year ago in November 2018, fans weren’t happy when Chris left yet another comment on the superstar’s picture. Even though the pop-star has commented several times on Rihanna’s pictures, she’s currently in a relationship with the businessman, Hassan Jameel, and has been dating him for approximately two years.
As it was previously reported, Chris Brown, who was 19-years-old at the time, was arrested by the police for assaulting the then-20-year-old Rihanna. The authorities booked the singer on domestic violence and felony battery.
The altercation between Riri and Brown was so intense that even the Grammy Awards had to cancel their performance. Reportedly, Chris was raised in a home with domestic violence. A report from Spin Magazine claimed that Chris’ step-father abused his mother.
In 2006, Brown said to reporters from MTV that he felt some type a way about people who disrespect women. Ironically, he was arrested for assaulting his girlfriend three years later.

The fight supposedly started after Brown received a text message from a woman as they left Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy Awards party. Either way, all of these years later and Brown is still hitting up the Barbadian singer.
