Lucy Verasamy has revealed all about her healthy lifestyle in a rare interview, in which she stated: “I don’t have a car.” The ITV weather presenter is regularly inundated with compliments after her forecasts, and her trim figure is all down to her wanting to “look after” herself. The 39-year-old has recently moved to a different part of London and is still getting to grips with what is on offer work-out wise. She also said her unusual routine means it is difficult to plan her weeks and do the same classes.
Speaking to The Sports Edit about staying active, Lucy commented: “I used to do Body Barre and Reformer Pilates regularly, but it’s been trickier to stick to a routine this year.
“I walk everywhere and I don’t have a car. I love hiking too and went to the Swiss Alps on a hiking trip earlier this summer.”
She shared a number of snaps from her trip with her 107,000 Instagram followers, sporting a number of skimpy ensembles.
“Swapped the summer in the city for shady Swiss mountain air @peakhealthswiss,” she wrote, while posing in front of a breathtaking backdrop.
Continuing: “Swiss mountain views during Europe’s record breaking heatwave – baking hot (even at over 3000m at 10am) so the glacier ice was like walking on a slush puppy @peakhealthswiss. Our climate is changing so rapidly in our lifetime.”
With her hair tied up, she teamed a bright yellow vest with tiny shorts, while a sweatshirt was tied around her waist.
Meanwhile, Lucy went on to discuss her fitness goal, telling the publication: “Going for a run every morning with my pup, but it’s more likely to happen two to three times a week.
“I miss doing classes though and now I’ve moved to a different part of London I’m scouting my new area for new ones.”
She continued: “We’ve only got one body, so I want to look after it.”
Finally, on her favourite music to workout to, Lucy added: “Luke’s playlist at Absolute Pilates in Fulham is one of a kind.
“It’s like a ‘best of blast from the past’ – and nothing overly current/in the charts – which makes a change!”
It comes just days after Lucy Verasamy delivered her forecast, admitting she was “looking forward” to the change.
She looked chic in pink as she donned a tight-fitting outfit which showcased her petite frame, as she told viewers temperatures would rise.
The meteorologist opted for a salmon long-sleeved top which showcased her gym-honed physique.
She added a snug skirt which ensured Lucy’s trim waist and slender arms were impossible to miss.
The star divulged: “We’ve got some lovely spells of September sunshine as the week wears on. Breezy tomorrow, occasional pulses of rain moving through but warming up quite nicely as we move into the weekend.”
