Thor vs Loki – who would win in a fight? Shock Avengers Assemble scene revealed

The Avengers as we know it are over, Loki is dead and Thor put on a lot of weight and jumped on board the Benatar with the Guardians of the Galaxy. It seems obvious who would triumph in a fight between Loki and Thor after countless bouts. But Tom Hiddleston has reveal who actually DID win when the pair went at it for real.

Who would win in a fight between Thor and Loki?

Needless to say, the super-muscley god of thunder, Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth, would win in a fight.

And according to Tom Hiddleston, who plays Loki, he really did win when a backstage moment forced him to take the brunt of Thor’s punches.

But in this scene, he took the punches for real, sadly, leaving him close to being knocked out on the floor.

He told late night TV host Stephen Colbert: “Fighting Chris Hemsworth, you’re going to lose, let’s face it.

“On film, it’s all about angles when you’re fighting.

“So you’re trying to get the angles of the different parts of the choreography to tell the story, but you only have to do it once.

“There was a scene in Avengers where Thor had to strike Loki across the face and I was wearing the horns, which weigh about 30 pounds.

“I couldn’t really sell the hit, the smack.

“So I just said to Chris, ‘I think you should just hit me in the face’.

“It’s a terrible idea – I went down like a stone.”

Hiddleston currently on stage performing in Broadway after the play, Betrayal, sold out the West End’s Harold Pinter Theatre.

He added: “And I suppose, on stage, when you’re doing a fight, you have to do it every night for 100-odd performances.

“I think if I was being hit in the face by Chris Hemsworth day after day, I don’t know if I would be able to mange that.

“It wouldn’t be sustainable.”

Chris Hemsworth barely seemed to have any CGI trappings used on his muscles, meaning that hit would likely floor a champion heavyweight fighter, let alone a skinny English actor.

This confirms, once and for all, that Loki would not be able to withstand the might of Thor, even if his tricks and deceit means he can jump about a room and multiply himself.

Sadly, fans will unlikely be able to see who would win in a fight in any Marvel movies, as Loki died in Avengers: Infinity War.

However, with Loki’s Disney+ TV series set to be released in the next couple of years, fans will at least get to see a younger Loki and Thor go at it – if the series is, as fans expect, a prequel to his life.

Loki is set to come to Disney + in 2021
