Flights can be an occasion to enjoy some time to yourself if you’re travelling alone – but a plane seat in Economy is far from a private place. What you do in your seat can often easily be seen by the other fliers sitting nearby. Consequently, many people may be too embarrassed to do certain activities mid-flight. One female passenger apparently had no such sense of shame with her choice of in-flight entertainment.
A photo of the woman has gone viral after being posted to a Facebook group called Shut The Front Door.
Intriguingly, she was photographed in the middle of a rather old-fashioned pastime as she sat in her seat.
The passenger was busy engaged in embroidering a cross-stitch pattern. A number of attractive red and pink flowers adorned the creation.
However, it was the words she was writing in the middle of the floral border which caused the most shock.
The woman had written in thick black stitches a very rude phrase indeed. It said: “Eat a bag of d***s.”
Her face can hardly be seen due to her hair and the angle of the photo but she seems calm as she sews.
It’s unclear who the message is intended for – the viewer is simply left to guess. It’s also possible it wasn’t meant for anyone in particular.
Facebook users have been astonished by the sight of the woman’s crude missive.
One viewer commented: “A little crafty inspiration for my next project. For the perfect, heartfelt gift.”
Another added: “I wonder if she can make me one. I have someone I would love to give that to.”
The cross stitch pattern can be found on sale on craft e-commerce website Etsy.
One fan commented: “I absolutely LOVE this gorgeous pattern. The palette is vibrant, the message is delightfully rude – everything I’m looking for.”
The woman is far from the only plane passenger to be captured doing something shocking mid-flight.
A clip recently went viral after it caught a man and woman emerging from a plane toilet together.
Viewers were shocked by the romp that had seemingly passed between the couple. “Can you say, ‘Mile High Club?!”https://www.express.co.uk/” one person wrote, while another added: “Walk of shame.”
Some people were impressed the couple has squeezed into the small space: “How can 2 full-grown humans fit in those bathrooms! I’m screwed if I have to turn around in any fashion in those water closets (sic).”
Another joked: “They were wearing the same outfit, so it’s technically like there was only one person in there.” Others suggested maybe the pair had been taking drugs together.
Other viewers were amazed that another woman waiting for the loo didn’t hesitate to use the cubicle after it had just been vacated by the couple.
