Avengers theory: How this character could return from the DEAD for new movie

Endgame saw the end of a long and tricky time for The Avengers as they finally defeated Thanos. But the journey was not an easy one, and they lost countless of their own to fight for the future of Earth. One Avenger, however, could be back from the dead in an upcoming film in Phase 4 of the MCU.

The Black Widow prequel means Scarlett Johansson, whose character died as she and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) sought after the Soul Stone, is back.

They were told they must sacrifice as soul for a soul in order to obtain the stone, and so they literally took a leap off a cliff and clambered to stop one another from falling.

In the end, Black Widow plunged to her death, but will be seen again in the Black Widow prequel, starring Stranger Things’ David Harbour, Rachel Weisz and Florence Pugh.

However, she is not the only character who will be seen after death, as it has been reported by Deadline that Robert Downey Jr, who played Iron Man, will also make an appearance in the Black Widow film.

At the moment, it is not known how or why Iron Man will appear in the film.

However, as the film is a prequel, it will likely be as a figure who pre-dates the Iron Man we know and love, or may even as a flash-back or flash-forward.

It has also been said that Downey Jr will lend his voice to a future Disney+ TV show, playing his iconic superhero role.

According to We Got This Covered, Robert Downey Jr may return in the Ironheart Disney+ show, which has yet to be confirmed by Marvel.

Ironheart is a teenage character who has featured in the animated feature Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors, about a group of teenage superhero who in forces.

This includes Ms Marvel, who will have an upcoming Marvel series, Captain Marvel, who we have already seen in live-action form played by Brie Larson, and Quake, voiced by Chloe Bennet, who portrayed Quake in the live action series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Ironheart is a young genius girl who is set to appear in the upcoming special Marvel Rising: Heart of Iron, and if she does gain her own series, she could have her superhero mentor helping her along.

What is the Black Widow movie about?

According to Entertainment Weekly, the film is set after the events of Captain America Civil War, which was released in 2016.

The story has been suggested as a time of examination for Natasha, as she is forced to confront her past and consider what is important to her before the events of Avengers: Infinity Way and Avengers Endgame.

Black Widow is currently scheduled to be released on May 1, 2020, in the USA and the UK, meaning fans will not have long to find out exactly what RDJ is doing in the movie.
