Zoe Ball: ‘Wonder how it’ll work…’ It Takes Two host on presenting with Rylan Clark-Neal

Zoe Ball, 48, will be sharing Strictly Come Dancing’s It Takes Two hosting duties with Rylan Clark-Neal, 30, when it returns next week.

Rylan will be hosting the BBC Two programme on Mondays and Tuesdays with Zoe taking on the role Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The BBC Radio 2 star will then share the sofa with Rylan to present alongside each other on the Friday.

With just a week to go until it all kicks off, Zoe admitted she’s unsure about how it’ll work when they both present.

Ahead of the show’s return, she explained: “Rylan will be hosting on Monday and Tuesday, so he’ll do all the post-weekend chats, the choreography corner and all that…

“I’ll then host from Wednesday – so Warmups with Ian Waite as always, and Vicky Gill’s wardrobe Thursdays.”

She added: “But then Rylan and I will co-host Fridays together! So excited.

“Friday’s always a laugh, we’ve got a panel, a band… it really feels like showbiz!”

Zoe said they haven’t had any practice for the show yet, so isn’t too sure on what’s going to happen.

She continued: “I wonder how it’ll work… will we come down the same staircase?!

“We’ve not done anything together yet, so I don’t know how it’ll play out.”

Zoe pondered whether her and Rylan will become the new ultimate TV husband and wife.

“When you get a new telly husband or wife, you have to get used to their patterns, when to interject,” she said.

“Will we be Eamonn and Ruth? Will we be Phil and Holly? Obviously when I say that I mean I’m Phil… Rylan is Holly!”

On a recent episode of Zoe’s BBC Radio 2 show, she revealed she hasn’t been in “the same building at the same time” as Rylan since it was announced they were going to present together.

She said: “I still haven’t seen him yet. We’re going to be doing It Takes Two together.”

Although the TV and radio personality gushed about how “excited” she was to work with Rylan on the Strictly spin-off show, she explained she hasn’t caught up with him yet ahead of the show.

“Rylan we love you. Very excited about our show starting in a couple of weeks time,” Zoe added.

Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One at 7.10pm on Saturday.

It Takes Two begins on Monday 23 September on BBC One at 5.15pm.
