EastEnders spoilers: Is Walford favourite set to exit in heartbreaking death plot?

Ted Murray (played by Christopher Timothy) arrived on EastEnders just over two years ago alongside his beloved wife, Joyce Murray (Maggie Steed). The couple were deeply in love, but the pensioner’s wife passed away suddenly in a heartbreaking plot last March. Later this week, the BBC soap favourite struggles with his grief, but could it push him to leave the Square?

Ted has taken a backseat of late, having last had a major role in a storyline when he struck up a friendship with youngster, Bernadette Taylor (Clair Norris).

Following Joyce’s death, the school-girl tried her best to get the pensioner out his rut after he had previously taught her how to play chess.

Earlier this year, the Walford resident tookreak from the soap to visit his family in Australia after his wife’s funeral.

Since his return, ed has been a little quieter and it’s Patrick Truman (Rudolph Walker) who realises something array with his friend in upcoming scenes.

Following her doomed weeding day to Callum Highway (Tony Clay), Whitney Dean (Shona McGarthy) decided to make full use of the couple’s honeymoon.

With Whitney taking a break from the drama of her special day, Callum will progress in his romance with Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden).

The young men happiness could be thrown into jeopardy however when the heartbroken bride comes back with some shocking news.

Whitney and Callum will come face-to-face in upcoming episodes, with The Mirror reporting the distraught wife-to-be will drop a bombshell on her ex.
