A grand jury has indicted Mama June Shannon and her boyfriend Geno Doak on a charge of felony drug possession after police arrested the couple at an Alabama gas station in March on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. A spokesperson for the Macon County District Attorney’s Office said at the time that Mama June was allegedly in possession of crack cocaine and a crack pipe, but they had to test the substance before moving forward with charges.
In addition to the felony drug charge, the grand jury also included a misdemeanor charge for the paraphernalia. According to People Magazine, Doak is facing the same drug charges as Mama June and a third-degree domestic violence charge.

Mama June did not show up at the Alabama courthouse Friday for the arraignment, even though the court had ordered her to do so. Her sister was there along with a camera crew because she wanted to attempt another intervention.
During the season finale of Mama June: From Not To Hot, her family had an intervention and begged her to go to rehab – which was filmed before her arrest. After a lot of convincing, she agreed to go to an in-patient treatment center, and her family drove her to the North Carolina facility.
But, according to the show, she checked out just 12 hours later when Geno picked her up, and at the time their whereabouts were unknown. Police arrested the couple just two days later.
Since then, the 40-year-old has seemingly gone into a downward spiral and is choosing to live life on the road with Doak instead of her family. She has even abandoned her 14-year-old daughter Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thomspon, who is now living with her big sister Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon.

Mama June also held a weird garage sale, destroyed her Georgia home, and then sold it to live in an RV with Doak.
The couple is facing some serious prison time with these charges, and they are scheduled to be back in court later this month. But, since Mama June didn’t show this time, there is no guarantee she will appear at her next court date.
