Star Wars 9 Rise of Skywalker: How Palpatine survived REVEALED in official Snoke comic?

Back in Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, a redeemed Anakin Skywalker threw Emperor Palpatine to his apparent death. However, Darth Sidious has somehow survived and is back for Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker. Fans have been speculating just how the villain could be back and now a new Snoke prequel comic might have the answer. Star Wars: Age of Resistance – Supreme Leader Snoke #1 gives a bit of back story to the baddie who died in The Last Jedi.

In one scene Snoke is training his Dark Side apprentice Kylo Ren and tests him by Force suspending him over a cliff before letting him go.

However, Ben Solo manages to stop and hover just above the ground by using the Force.

Reddit user Cade28Skywalker posted the scene from the comic next to Palpatine’s fall in Return of the Jedi.

The theorist asks: “Is this a hint about how Palpatine survived?

Perhaps, Darth Sidious used the same move as Kylo Ren, but if so just where has he been for the last three decades?

Especially considering the Death Star II was destroyed and its wreckage appears in The Rise of Skywalker trailers.

Meanwhile, an alleged leak from Making Star Wars claims what Palpatine’s evil plan will be in The Rise of Skywalker.

Apparently, Palpatine features early on in The Rise of Skywalker.

He tells Kylo Ren he wants him and Rey to be the Emperor and Empress of his new evil Empire.

The pair represent the positive and negative aspects of the Force and together should be powerful enough to restore Palpatine back to his fully resurrected strength.

Certainly, this seems to tie in with the latest poster for The Rise of Skywalker with Palpatine comfortably looming over the pair in battle.
