Call of Duty Modern Warfare open beta is almost upon us on PS4.
Right now a Call of Duty Modern Warfare early access period is taking place for those that pre-ordered the latest COD on PlayStation 4.
This began on Thursday September 12, but soon this will open up to many more COD fans on PS4.
On Saturday September 14 the Call of Duty Modern Warfare open beta is scheduled to take place on PS4.
Due to Sony’s exclusive deal with Activision, this means the PS4 is the first format to get Call of Duty content.
So PS4 fans will get to play the Modern Warfare beta ahead of their Xbox One and PC counterparts.
The Call of Duty Modern Warfare open beta is scheduled to run on PS4 between Saturday September 14 and Monday September 16.
A start time has not been revealed yet by Activision, but they do have a history of dropping Call of Duty betas early.
So don’t be surprised if the Call of Duty Modern Warfare beta becomes available to play before its scheduled start.
Following this on Thursday September 19 the Call of Duty Modern Warfare beta will start for those that pre-ordered on Xbox One and PCs.
PS4 fans will also be getting access to the Call of Duty beta during this period, even if they didn’t pre-order.
And then from Saturday September 21 to Monday September 23 a Call of Duty Modern Warfare open beta will be taking place for all players.
So no matter whether you have pre-ordered the next COD or not you’ll be able to take part.
This second beta period will interestingly support cross-play, so COD fans across PS4, Xbox One and PC will be united.
For PS4 fans the Call of Duty Modern Warfare beta will take up 28.4GB and won’t require a PS Plus membership.

The Call of Duty Modern Warfare betas are taking place ahead of the game’s worldwide release of October 25 on PS4, Xbox One and PCs.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare will boast a gritty campaign mode as well as an ambitious 100 player online mode.
