Nigella Lawson weight loss: TV chef slimmed down by using this diet trick – what is it?

Nigella Lawson is an English chef and food writer, who has hosted her own shows, including Nigella Bites, Nigella’s Christmas Kitchen and Simply Nigella. She has had an impressive career and written a number of cook books including How to Eat, How to Be a Domestic Goddess and Simply Nigella: Feel Good Food. Recently, the TV chef has turned heads for other reasons than her amazing culinary schools. The 59-year-old has caught attention for her weight loss transformation, after fans noticed she’d slimmed down.

So how did she do it?

Nigella managed to lose weight by adopting a healthier lifestyle.

She explained she has a love of healthy foods and enjoys eating things such as kale and avocados.

Speaking to Good Housekeeping, she said: “Life is about balance, it’s not about being smug. You don’t eat things because you think they’re good for you.”

She added: “It’s certainly true my weight went up – that happens in life sometimes.

“I wouldn’t want a life where I lived on chia seed pudding, just as I wouldn’t want to live where I lived on eggs Benedict or steak and chips.”

But it’s not just diet that helped Nigella to slim down, with the brunette beauty sharing a secret behind her weight loss.

The chef revealed the pounds first started to fall off unintentionally after she had a double bunionisation.

“I couldn’t walk to the fridge afterwards and, actually, it’s quite a good diet,” she told The Telegraph in 2015.

“Not because I stopped eating but because you can say to someone, ‘Can you get me a slice of cake?’ but it’s kind of embarrassing to say, ‘And now could you get me a second slice?’”

Nigella also used regular exercise to stay in shape, admitting she specifically chose yoga as she wants to feel good while working out.

“I do yoga three times a week. I have to do something I enjoy, otherwise I wouldn’t do it,” she explained.

Fellow chef Paul Hollywood has also had an impressive weight loss transformation.

In recent years, the 53-year-old has shed some pounds and it’s all thanks to cutting one thing from his diet.

Paul decided to ditch booze and go teetotal. As a result, he started to notice the weight fall off.

Speaking in an interview with The Sun, he revealed: “I don’t have to go out now, I just drink water all day. I promise. It’s helped shift a few pounds too.”

As well as cutting out alcohol, Paul also transformed his diet and upped his fitness regime.

“I’m on a healthy eating spurt right now. I’m not thin but I’m on my way there,” he told The Daily Mail.
