LG B9 2019 OLED TV Review – RTINGS.com

Hands-on review of the LG B9 OLED HDR TV

The LG B9 is a terrific OLED TV that delivers very good picture quality. It is the entry-level OLED for LG and is set to replace the B8 from last year. It also has great gaming features because of its HDMI 2.1 ports. In this review, we compare it to 3 other popular models.

The LG B9 can display perfect blacks and perfect black uniformity, just like all OLEDs. It has excellent wide viewing angles, good SDR peak brightness and handles reflections well, which great for a fairly bright room with a wide seating arrangement. It has wide color gamut that delivers vivid color and a decent HDR brightness, but the aggressive ABL can become bothersome. The response time is nearly instantaneous and delivers crisp motion with almost no blur trail behind fast-moving objects. Gamers will enjoy a responsive gaming experience thanks to the very low input lag. Unfortunately, just like all OLED TVs, it has the possibility of developing permanent burn-in, although we don’t expect most people to experience this with normal varied content.
