Jamie Lomas: ‘I’ve had it up to here’ Hollyoaks star speaks out after Asan N'jie fight

Jamie Lomas, 44, was pictured venturing out in Manchester this morning wearing a cap which read: “Being good and nice”. The Hollyoaks actor seemed glum in an all-black outfit as he walked towards his car. According to the MailOnline, Jamie broke his silence on his fight with former Emmerdale star Asan N’jie, which took place at the TV Choice Awards earlier this week. He was reportedly heard ranting he’d “had it up to here with it all”.

Jamie’s comment comes after Asan apologised for the incident in a statement after being sacked from the ITV soap following the brawl.

He said: “My behaviour at the TV Choice Awards was completely unacceptable and very much out of character.

“I sincerely apologise to everybody who has been affected especially Jamie Lomas, the whole Emmerdale team, our audience, ITV, my family, and the organisers of the TV Choice Awards.

“I am devastated, accept full responsibility for my actions and I am determined to learn from this.”

A video of the fight between the actors showed Asan shouting at Jamie: “Do you think you are a f****** big man? I’m going to f****** kill you. I’m going to f****** knife you.”

Onlookers also reportedly saw him throw a punch at Jamie while shouting abusive threats.

He was said to have been removed from the Hilton Park Lane hotel in Mayfair by security.

A statement from ITV also read: “Emmerdale suspended Asan N’jie yesterday pending further investigation into an incident at a central London hotel on Monday night.

“ITV executives have met with him this morning and as a consequence Asan’s contract has been terminated with immediate effect.”

According to The Sun, Asan pleaded with ITV bosses to give him a second chance after the incident.

A source told the publication: “Asan is beside himself with worry. To quote him he’s in ‘absolute bits’. He knows his career in Emmerdale could be over.

He’s someone at the centre of a knife crime storyline who has threatened to stab a fellow actor. It doesn’t get more serious than that.”

They added Asan is keen to “do anything to avoid the sack”.

“He will get down on his hands and knees and plead for another chance,” the source added.

Asan missed out on the award for Best Newcomer at the TV Choice Awards that night.

The actor faced competition from his co-star Olivia Bromley, Coronation Street’s Maureen Lipman, 73, and EastEnders actress Kara-Leah Fernandes, who won the award.

Emmerdale continues tonight at 7pm on ITV.
