Why does Meghan Markle wear three rings on her wedding finger? Reason behind them revealed

Meghan Markle tied the knot with Prince Harry on 19 May 2018 at a ceremony at Windsor Castle. When Harry proposed, she was given a specially designed ring which was made with jewels from Princess Diana’s collection. In the last few months, the Duchess of Sussex has been spotted wearing another ring next to her engagement ring and wedding band. She will often wear eye-catching pieces of jewellery, but why has she started wearing this ring?

When Meghan and Harry got engaged, the former actress was given a trilogy engagement ring which held a lot of sentimental value to the couple.

It had a centre stone from Botswana and two diamonds on either side which were from Princess Diana’s jewellery collection.

On her big day, Meghan was given a gold wedding band which is thought to be made from Welsh gold, fitting in with a royal tradition which both Queen Elizabeth II, 93, and Kate Middleton, 37, have followed.

After the birth of her first child, Archie Harrison, four months, Meghan kept a low-profile and was first seen out as she attended Trooping the Colour to celebrate the Queen’s official birthday.

At the event, Meghan was seen flaunting a new third ring which was sat on on her engagement finger.

She started wearing the pave-set ring which royal fans believe is a gift from Prince Harry.

The gift ring was embedded with the birthstone of Meghan, Archie and Prince Harry, according to Harper’s Bazaar.

Some believe the eternity ring was given as a present from Prince Harry to celebrate the birth of their son.

Others believe she was given the piece of jewellery as a gift to celebrate their wedding anniversary.

As the occasions are so close to each other, it’s difficult to tell which he was given it for.

If Harry did give Meghan the ring to celebrate the birth of Archie, he would be following in the footsteps of his brother, Prince William, 37.

After the birth of Kate and William’s first child, Prince George, six, Kate was given a diamond eternity ring, which she also wears non her ring finger.

At her wedding to Prince Harry, Meghan made a subtle nod to his mother, Princess Diana.

As the couple headed to their reception, Meghan wore the aquamarine cocktail ring which was previously worn by the Princess OF Wales.

Like most royal brides, Meghan also gave a nod to the Royal Family by wearing a tiara from the Queen’s collection.
