NBA 2K20 update news as fans wait on patch notes for PS4 and Xbox One

A New NBA 2K20 update has been launched this week, but fans have yet to be given easy access to patch notes.

NBA 2K20 hit shelves last week, and there’s been a lot of feedback in regards to how to improve the game.

Reports of bugs have been rampant, as has feedback regarding the current microtransaction system.

As an example, NBA 2K20 currently ranks as having ‘Overwhelmingly Negative’ review scores on Steam.

So there’s been plenty of constructive feedback to focus on since the launch of NBA 2K20 earlier in September.

Several new NBA updates have been released over the past week; the only problem is that fans don’t know what is being fixed.

Access to official patch notes has been hard to come by, but this could be down to several factors.

The 2K development team could be holding back their official updates notes until they have done everything on their schedule.

And it looks like another update is coming to NBA 2K20 this week on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Gameplay Director for NBA 2K, Mike Wang, has shared a few tidbits with fans following the launch of the game.

Game speed is one area in which NBA 2K20 will see further tweaks, including it being dialled back a notch.

Wang was unable to share a release date for the next patches coming to the game but did confirm that more changes were coming.

“It’s outside my domain, so I don’t have any solid information, unfortunately. All I can say is that it’s being worked on with the highest priority,” he told one fan.

Adding: “There was a slight stamina buff this morning. But also try equipping Handles for Days.

“The park speeds were boosted a bit further than desired and will be toned down asap. Apologies.”

As mentioned above, these aren’t official patch notes, and there could well be a lot of other changes happening behind the scenes we don’t know about.

The official support site contains some information on ongoing changes, including why players have been receiving A388169E / 512F0500 error messages.

According to 2K, these are connected to Triple Threat mode being offline for development updates.

“We are working hard to bring this mode back online as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience,” a message from 2K reads.

For now, it’s unclear if and when new NBA 2K20 patch notes will be shared with the community.
