Eamonn Holmes: ‘P****s me off!’ This Morning host issues warning in Brexit ‘boredom’ rant

Eamonn Holmes, 59, took to the micro-blogging site and vented as he referred to Brexit as “overly complicated” and “media stoked”. In view of his 996,000 followers he said: “I’ve been with a really sad person this morning and had to leave them to deal with another day of self indulgent, overly complicated, media stoked and politically Nerdy #Brexitboredom. “God help whoever p*****s me off talking c**p today #WestminsterBubble #BrexitBubble.” Fans inundated the star with comments as one person agreed: “We’re all p****d off that’s why it needs to end.”

Another person said: “Couldn’t agree more Eamonn. Talk about Brexit fatigue. Not only is it tearing the country apart it’s so so boring now.”

While a third person added: “It’s embarrassing, the whole thing is one total shambles….no end in sight either.”

Eamonn regularly discusses topics such as Brexit on his TalkRadio slot.

Elsewhere, Eamonn hit back at a social media user as he claimed they were “twisting” his words.

The presenter hit out on the micro-blogging site after a Twitter user claimed it was not nice to refer to people on Twitter as “stupid”.

But Eamonn claimed the person in question was “twisting things” and it was not what he meant when he made the comment.

The social media user wrote: “We are not stupid people on Twitter, Eamonn! Not a very nice remark from you.”

Eamonn responded the comment and said: “Now Barbara you know that’s twisting things….I said I was talking to stupid people on Twitter not that everyone on Twitter was stupid.

“There is a huge difference and there ARE quite a lot of stupid people who unfortunately know nothing about what they judge. Sad but true.”

The unknown user wrote back: “I have not twisted things Eamonn as your reply implies. You know what you said and I didn’t agree with you. I didn’t say everyone as you yourself stated. You should not judge all people the same.”

It comes after Ruth asked Eamon live on-air what he was doing as he used his phone.

He said: “I am talking to stupid people on Twitter.”

While she said he shouldn’t bother, he added: “There are things when you are doing a TV programme that people do not understand.

The ITV favourite was referring to a previous tweet about cutting off Ruth during a segment about recycling so that the show could go to an advertisement break.

They said: “@thismorning @EamonnHolmes continues to interrupt Ruth Langsford he is rude, infuriating and obnoxious.”

He responded: “You have no understanding of what was happening. I needed to do that for reasons you have no clue about. Sorry but you are attacking the wrong person.”

This Morning airs weekdays at 10.30am.
