Ivanka Trump met the Paraguay President on Friday, following the US Government’s recent decision to approve $400million in financing for Argentina’s road network. A video shows Ivanka arriving in a fresh lemon dress to meet the country’s president, Mario Abdo Benitez. Ivanka can be seen shaking hands with Paraguay’s President and kissing him on each cheek, before also greeting his wife.
Ivanka then poses for pictures with the pair before heading inside.
Later in the footage, Ivanka is applause as she makes a speech, saying: “Well today I am honoured and pleased to announce, in partnership with City Bank, that we are going to double that commitment.”
Despite Ivanka being one of the US President’s senior political advisors, Twitter users questioned Ivanka’s reason for the meeting, in reaction to the video.
One user posted: “What exactly is Ivanka Trump’s ‘title’ for her to meet with the President of Paraguay?

“What was the reason for this meeting?”
Another questioned: “Why is she there? What is her job?”
A third simply asked: “Why?”
Another similarly commented: “Yes… why?!?”
The back of the bodycon dress was completely black and Ivanka complemented this with a pair of black high heel shoes.
As well as her meeting with the president, Ivanka was spotted dancing in a courtyard after hosting a women’s economic empowerment event.
The US president’s daughter showed off her new hair cut by wearing her hair down in a middle parting.
Ivanka ran a fashion line for 11 years, only recently closing it down. She also had a fine jewellery store which closed in March 2017.
Ivanka now focuses on her role as an advisor to the President, Donald Trump.
