Alien shock: High energy signals detected light years away as experts warn of new life

Light years refers to how long it takes light to travel a year, light travels at 186,282m/s. The signals will continue to be monitored with researchers unclear how they were generated. Chinese Five-hundred Aperture Spherical Radio Telescope (FAST) detected the signals which are being looked at by the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Over 100 bursts have been detected from FRB122102 since late August.

The source was first spotted by a Puerto Rican observatory in 2015.

Mail Online reports the radio bursts are tiny pulses lasting a few milliseconds created by an unidentified process out in space.

The FAST observatory was completed in September near Jinke Village in Guizhou Province.

It is the largest and most sensitive radio observatory built.

Earlier this year, Canadian astronomers picked up similar signals from 1.5 billion light years away.

There were several theories about the origins of these blasts.

The BBC reported at the time they included exploding stars, stars with strong magnetic fields, stars merging together and the suggestion of aliens.

“But we should be wary of answering back. Meeting an advanced civilization could be like Native Americans encountering Columbus.

“That didn’t turn out so well.”

Up until the early 20th Century, Venus was theorised to have similar forms of hospitality to Earth.

Developments in study and observations have suggested this is not a case.

Evidence of liquid water in Mars’s past has fuelled speculation of potential life on the fourth planet from the Sun also.

Conspiracy theorists have often used about the suggestion of the existence of alien life.

A crash near Roswell, New Mexico in 1947 is often claimed by theorists to have been an alien spacecraft, though it was initially reported as a weather balloon, theories began being promoted in the 1970s.

In the 1990s, the United States Military released reports saying it was a nuclear test surveillance balloon.

Area 51 is often claimed by conspiracy theorists to host aliens.
