Khabib vs Poirier LIVE: Joanne Calderwood beats Andrea Lee – split decision 

The final round produces action similar to what was shown in the second. Incredibly close on the cards but it’s a split decision win for Calderwood!

Both fighters with some back and forth in the second round, but nothing significant from either. 

Calderwood bursts into action with a takedown, before landing a vicious elbow that cuts Lee above the left eye.  

Lee landing some nice kicks early doors but Calderwood doesn’t look too phased by them. She needs to get some shots off soon, though. 

A women’s flyweight bout up next. Scottish fighter Calderwood comes up against Texan lee. 

Khabib vs Poirier LIVE: Zubaira Tukhugov draws with Lerone Murphy – split draw

It’s a split draw! 29-28 for Murphy, 29-28 for Tukhugov and 28-28 to finish off the cards. 

Round three with more of the same action. Both fighters have resembled yo-yos during their time in the cage together. Up, down, up, down. A clash that’s had everything apart from that finishing sequence.

Great round two! Both fighters throwing huge punches and big kicks at each other, with a lot of the action coming off the floor again. Tukhugov probably two rounds up at this point but Murphy did better there. 

Tukhugov nearly finishes the fight early after Murphy trips over himelf with about a dozen unanswered, but not entirely clean, punches.

Manchester-born Murphy in the cage now with Tukhugov, Khabib Nurmagomedov’s team-mate. The Russian’s most notable night in the Octagon came when he jumped Conor McGregor in the cage after the Irishman’s loss to Khabib back in October. 

Khabib vs Poirier LIVE: Liana Jojua TKO’s Sarah Moras – third round

The doctor is checking on Jojua to make sure she’s okay. Great performance from Moras. 

Moras thrashibg Jojua with more elbows in the final round. Her mount position is proving too much for her opponent and referee Marc Goddard stops it. 

We’re seeing more of the same dominance in the second round, as the fight heads to the ground where Moras has hit Jojua with a tonne of elbows. 

Both ladies endured a tough opening round with Moras getting the better of the early action. Jojua showed her steeliness, eating a slew of punches. 

BIG news confirmed!

Nate Diaz will face Jorge Masvidal in the main event on UFC’s New York card at Madison Square Garden on November 2. 

Diaz, you’ll remember, called Masvidal out after his win over Anthony Pettis last month at UFC 241. 

Masvidal is coming off a big victory over Ben Askren, who he KO’d in 5 seconds, a UFC record, with a flying knee. 

Colby Covington and Kamaru Usman were originally supposed to headline the big event, but a deal couldn’t be agreed for the date. 

Khabib vs Poirier LIVE: Ottman Azaitar KOs Teemu Packalen – 1st round

“Dana, Dane, 50 Gs,” Azaitar says as he leaves the cage. 

Octagon-side medics are checking on Packalen, who managed to get himself on a stool. But my word, what a way to perform on your UFC debut. 

Packalen is knocked out with a brutal overhand right toward the end of the round.

Both Azaitar and Packalen throwing bombs in the first round and you can tell straight away that the crowd are into it.

Early prelims action…

On the early prelims, Don Madge managed to pick up a unanimous points win over Fares Ziam, as did Omari Akhmedov, who dominated the majority of his clash with Zak Cummings. 

Muslim Salikhov then hit the first knockout of the night when a beautiful right hand landed flush on Nordine Taleb’s chin. 

Salikhov finished Taleb on the ground with another strike as referee Herb Dean pulled him off his fallen victim. 

And in the final bout on the UFC Fight Pass card, Belal Muhammad submitted Takashi Sato with a rear-naked choke.
