IT Chapter Two end credits scene: Is there an end credit scene after IT Chapter Two?

It is back – Pennywise the dancing clown is ready to scare and devour poor children in IT Chapter Two. The Losers Club must defeat him. But are there more scenes after the film finishes?

**WARNING IT CHAPTER TWO SPOILERS**

Is there an end credits scene in IT Chapter Two?

The short answer is, no.

As The Losers Club are finally victorious in their quest to kill Pennywise, there does not need to be an extra scene at the end of the film.

There is also no mid credits scene, as the action is ending with Pennywise’s demise and the Losers finally getting to live their lives in peace.

Director Andy Muschietti openly admitted there was a conscious decision not to add any post credit scenes.

He told HuffPost: “Post-credit scenes a la Marvel normally have a very distinct function, which is tease people about a future movie.

“But yeah, this is, like, the idea that this is over.”

Was there an end credits scene in IT?

While none was seen by cinema-goers, it turned out a Jessica Chastain cameo was set to serve as the post-credits scene for the first film.

However, due to scheduling issues, there was no way to film it, so it was left out.

Andy continued to HuffPost: “Something a lot of people probably don’t know is ‘Chapter One’ did have the idea to make a post-credit scene, which was Beverly Marsh picking up the phone.

“So, 27 years later, post credit, you would see a phone ringing.

“It’s an iPhone, so it’s impossible that it’s 1989, and a hand comes in and the camera wraps around this red-haired back of a head, and we turn around, and it’s Jessica Chastain!”

His sister and producer on the film, Barbara Muschietti, said getting Jessica in the film as a “dream” and she seemed to help other actors get involved, including James McAvoy, who plays the adult Bill.

Jessica plays the adult Beverly Marsh in the film, whose experience in the first film means she can tell when people are about to die, and has some recollections of their past before they arrive back in Derry.
