AJ Pritchard, 24, screamed with glee when he discovered he would be dancing with Saffron Barker, 19, during the Strictly Come Dancing 2019 launch tonight. After the show aired, the new couple took the opportunity to celebrate their partnership with a party, which they shared with fans on their Instagram stories. AJ and Saffron posted several videos of themselves tuning into the programme as they enjoyed the exciting moment with pals and family members. However, things appeared to become tense between them as they bickered over a cake.
The delicious dessert was decorated with a photo of the duo together in the Strictly studios along with a sweet good luck message.
AJ revealed their conversation about the cake in view of his 497,000 followers, as he zoomed his camera in on the carved up icing.
Pointing out where the knife had cut up his image on the sponge, the professional dancer said: “Look! Through my head.”
The vlogger admitted in response: “We ruined ourselves.”
AJ seemed to disagree with Saffron’s idea of who was to blame for the destroyed confection, adding: “You ruined it!
“You cut through the middle, I look like an alien.”
Fortunately, AJ seemed to get over his frustrations about the cake as he tucked into a slice.
Saffron caught the BBC favourite on camera as he took a bite and exclaimed: “He’s eating his own face!”
The Strictly stars then opened up to fans about how they felt when they found out they are going to be dance partners.
Sharing their thoughts with Saffron’s 1.2 million followers, the blonde beauty turned to AJ and said: “Here’s my Strictly 2019 partner!
“Finally can actually say it I’m so happy,” AJ chimed in.
