Yahoo Mail issues continue – Anger as users complain of missing emails after huge outage

It’s been a terrible 24 hours for Yahoo users.

The email service and popular website went offline for hours yesterday causing major issues for those trying to access their online messages.

The problems originally began at around 7.30 am with things getting back to normal later yesterday afternoon.

In a statement on Twitter, Yahoo said: “Most services are back online. This is a technical issue that affected our services. We are sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience as we get everything back up and running.”

However, despite the service now working again, it seems fans are still facing some digital nightmares.

Social media is still full of messages from users complaining that they still can’t log in or have lost vital emails that were sent during the outage.

Posting a message on Twitter, one user said: “Still no emails and tried the link, still nothing. Over 24 hours without email access”

Another added: “Yahoo mail not working properly, can’t delete any mail or move to folders.”

And one user of the service vented their anger with the message: “Hi, I am still missing 7 hours of emails from yesterday, they have not come through. This is affecting my business.”

There’s no word from Yahoo about when things will be fully back to normal but the firm is working hard to put things right.

Replying to one users, Yahoo said: “Emails that were sent during the downtime will still be received once our servers have a chance to catch up.

“If by the end of the day you still have not received an email please reach out and let us know. We do apologize for the inconvenience.”

It seems Yahoo is continuing to suffer from the gremlins that hit the service yesterday but it seems all messages should be restored in the coming days.
