All of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing contestants are getting ready to strut their stuff on the dance floor.
Former England footballer and Strictly fan, Alex Scott, was announced for the BBC line-up last month.
Now, research from all 16 previous Strictly series reveals Alex may walk away with the Glitterball Trophy.
Bookmakers have tipped Alex as the hot favourite since the line-up was announced and this research seems to back the odds.
Data from BonosCodesBets.co.uk concluded the average winner is a 31-year-old male TV presenter.
Looking back at former champions, presenters have historically performed best with six of the previous winners making a living by popping up on TV screens.
Stacey Dooley, Ore Oduba, Natasha Kaplinsky and Caroline Flack have all won Strictly and are all TV presenters.
The 34-year-old former footballer turned TV presenter is the most likely to take home the Glitterball Trophy at the end of the year.

However, historically male celebrities tend to do better on the dance floor.

In other Strictly news, Jamie Laing may not be entitled to compensation after he was forced to pull out of the show.
The Made In Chelsea star reportedly hurt his foot after an awkward fall and was unable to continue on with the competition.
Hannah Travis, Complex Injury Solicitor at Bolt Burdon Kemp, has explained what could happen next.
She said: “Jamie Laing is the latest celebrity to fall foul of the ‘Strictly Curse’, and no I’m not talking about the romantic one.
“His hopes of lifting the Glitter Ball Trophy have been shattered due to an injury sustained whilst in dance training.
“Although TV companies do have a responsibility to keep their stars safe, in this instance it’s unlikely Jamie Laing could claim compensation as his injuries aren’t out of the ordinary or unusual for this sport.”
