Britney Spears, 37, broke her social media silence this morning following news of a family drama.
The pop star took to Instagram to share a series of pictures in a video clip with her 22.7 million followers to show off her new hairdo.
The mother-of-two put on an animated display in the snaps, pulling an array of different faces and sticking her tongue while revealing her new brunette locks.
The singer, who was sporting a green off-the-shoulder dress and a black necklace, wrote alongside the images:“Same faces, same dress, new hair !!!!!”
The hitmaker revealed her younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears, 28, who is also sporting brunette tresses at the moment, inspired her new look.
Adding: “Yes, my sister inspired me to go dark !!!!!!!”.
Britney’s post follows a brief silence on the social media site after US publication TMZ reported an incident involving her children and Britney’s father Jamie Spears.
The incident led Federline to request a restraining order against the 66-year-old from seeing the children.
Yesterday it was also reported by TMZ that her childcare agreement with ex-husband Kevin Federline, 41, had been readjusted, giving the former dancer 70% custody of their children Sean, 13, and Jayden, 12.
