Sony PS4 news is great for PlayStation Now September gamers

Sony has revealed a new range of PS4 games have been added to their PS Now streaming service for September 2019.

While nowhere near as popular as the PS4 console range, PlayStation Now could become a lot more important in the long term for Sony.

With both Google Stadia and Microsoft’s xCloud in development and launching this year, the PS Now service is going to face more competition.

But with so many rivals joining the streaming club, it will no doubt prove a boon to have an existing userbase and infrastructure, as Sony does.

And the tech giant just announced some great news for PlayStation Now gamers looking to try out some new PS4 games.

A new list of titles have been added to the service, with plenty of different genres and playstyles included.

Ten new PS4 games have been announced for PS Now this week, which can also be accessed from PCs.

From today you can find games like LittleBigPlanet 3, Gravity Rush 2, Farming Simulator 19, Vampyr, and more in the official PS Now library.

And Sony has also confirmed that these new PS4 games can be downloaded alongside another 300 titles.

Other new games this month include the barn busting Farming Simulator 19, the dark and gritty Vampyr, the all-terrain mudslinging MudRunner, and sci-fi action-RPG The Surge.

The full list: De Blob, Farming Simulator 19, Gravity Rush 2, LittleBigPlanet 3, MudRunner, Red Faction Guerilla Re-MARS-tered, RIDE 3, The Surge, Titan Quest and Vampyr.

PlayStation Now is a separate subscription to PS Plus and VUE, and costs more or less depending on if you choose monthly or yearly payments.

As mentioned above, there are a lot of games that can also be downloaded and played instead of streamed, a change made back in 2018.

“Almost all PS4 games in the service, including Bloodborne, God of War 3 Remastered, NBA 2K16, and Until Dawn, will be available for download, in addition to the PS Now lineup of classic PS2 games remastered for PS4,” a message from Sony confirms.

“This feature will be gradually rolled out to PS Now subscribers over the next couple of days, so if you don’t see the feature on your PS Now today, make sure to check back again soon.

“Downloaded PS Now games will support all user-purchased DLCs, microtransactions, and add-ons, as well as PS4 Pro enhancements for subscribers using a PS4 Pro system.

“And remember, you do not need a PlayStation Plus membership for online multiplayer on PS Now – which stays the same for both streaming and downloaded games.”

A free trial for PlayStation Now can also be claimed and used, which runs for seven days.

New games are added to the PS Now service each month, with more expected to arrive in October, November and December.
