The US First Lady met Agata with a firm handshake in Warsaw as the Polish first lady awkwardly stepped past Trump’s stretched out hand. Melania and Trump were standing on stage when Agata ignored Trump’s first attempt at a handshake opting to greet Melania first before turning to shake the president’s hand. Twitter users were quick to comment on the awkward moment which added to a list of bizarre handshakes during Trump’s first year as president in recently resurfaced footage that went viral online.
One user said: “This Trump handshake fail is the best one yet.”
While another said: “Was that a handshake snub? Disrespectful.”
A third person added: “Fake news. Poland’s first lady did not diss Trump’s handshake attempt. She was looking at Melania, shook her hand, then shook Trump’s. Stop.”
In 2017, the public commented on a handshake between Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau calling it a “power struggle”.

The two world leaders met in the White House at the beginning of 2017 where people noted an “alpha hand grab” during their first greeting.
The Trumps’ greetings have come under huge amounts of scrutiny by the general public after Melania recently trended at the G7 summit for greeting Trudeau.
A badly-timed photograph caused such a stir online ‘Melania loves Trudeau’ began trending following the summit in Biarritz, France.
While holding hands with Donald Trump, Melania leans away to greet Trudeau with an air kiss but people alleged it looked romantic.
“The trouble with air-kisses is that they do look dramatic when frozen for a photo.
“Melania was clearly just aiming for Trudeau’s cheek for a pitch-perfect ritual and it’s only the camera angle that makes it look like anything more romantic!”
Melania and Donald married in 2005 after dating for many years, and they have spoken about the harmony in their relationship before.
However Twitter went into meltdown over the image as ‘Melania loves Trudeau’ started trending.
