Transfer news LIVE: Roma eye Arsenal ace, Man Utd make decision, Neymar Barcelona latest

Mkhitaryan heading for Rome

Henrikh Mkhitaryan is heading for Rome to complete his loan move.

The Arsenal ace is set to leave for the season and will join the Serie A side.

Mkhitaryan came off the bench in the north London derby but has struggled to make an impact under Unai Emery.

And its is understood he is flying to Italy to complete his move.

Eriksen staying

Mauricio Pochettino claims it’s ‘nearly impossible’ for Christian Eriksen to leave Tottenham today.

Eriksen was keen on a move away from Spurs earlier this summer but a transfer has failed to materialise.

And Pochettino believes he will be staying put.

“His mind was clear that he wanted to play,” said Pochettino.

“It’s nearly impossible for something to happen [with a transfer], that’s why it was clear.”

Roma want Mkhitaryan

Roma are trying to sign Arsenal outcast Henrikh Mkhitaryan on loan before the end of the European transfer window.

The window shuts today and Italian clubs have until 7pm to complete their business.

And it’s understood Roma are looking into the possibility of signing Mkhitaryan who joined Arsenal from Manchester United.

However his £200,000 a week wages could prove a stumbling block for the deal.

Barcelona end Neymar hopes

Barcelona have ended their interest in signing Neymar this summer and will instead return for the Brazil ace next year.

ESPN report that Barcelona will return with an offer for the forward next summer after missing out on a deal for him this year.

Neymar could still leave PSG today but chances are slim unless someone bites.

Real Madrid were also keen but appear to have given up as well.

Paul Pogba staying put

Paul Pogba will not be heading to Real Madrid today despite Zinedine Zidane’s interest.

The Manchester United midfielder was keen to seal a move to Spain but is now resigned to staying put.

Pogba, 26, has played every minute for United so far this season and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer stood firm on his future this weekend.

“Paul Pogba will be playing for us,” he said after the draw with Southampton.
