Manchester United set for new black and white kit in shock adidas move

Manchester United could be mistaken for Juventus next season with adidas reportedly set to give the Red Devils a black and white change strip.

United have had a black and white strip before, donning the jersey in the late seventies.

And The Sun say one of their strips next season will be black and white stripes, just like Serie A giants Juventus.

Teams often decide on their kits for next season way in advance of them going on sale.

United wore a predominantly white away strip in the 2015/16 season though are wearing a beige leopard print style.

Manchester United have had a disappointing start to the Premier League season, winning just one of their first four games.

They were held to a 1-1 draw by Southampton at the weekend despite the Saints playing the last 20 minutes with ten men.

And Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes his side need to be more clinical in front of goal.

He said: “We had loads of chances [vs Southampton], created loads of openings but the last bit is just missing.

“It’s getting there though. We have to learn to get those scrappy goals, not just the worldies!

“We do push teams back now and we do get around them.

“What is pleasing is that we didn’t just resort to panicky crosses and long balls and we played, and we should have scored to be honest.

“We feel numb and a little bit disappointed. In the last three games we’ve lost points that we definitely deserved to win.”

Manchester United are next in action after the international break as they face a home clash with Leicester on Saturday September 14.
