Holly Willoughby thanks This Morning for ‘moving heaven and earth’ to mark very BIG moment

Holly Willoughby has been away from screens and This Morning over the summer, but today shared a big update with her 5.7 million Instagram followers.

The ITV presenter uploaded a cheeky selfie alongside her youngest son as they walked hand-in-hand down the street.

The 38-year-old showed her gratitude to bosses, saying they had “moved heaven and earth” so she could be with him.

She was able to accompany the four-year-old to his first day at school, and was feeling “a whole host of emotions”.

Wearing her blonde tresses down in a natural wave, Holly beamed at the camera after opting for a patterned, lilac blouse.

She wore her pastel top with a grey jacket and leopard print handbag, while opting for minimal male-up.

Her young companion’s face remained out of view as he strolled next to her in his uniform of a navy jumper, grey shorts and a white shirt.

The mother-of-three captioned the sweet picture: “And he’s off… full of a whole host of emotions watching him walk through the classroom door…

“My baby is growing up… thank you @thismorning for moving heaven and earth so I could drop him off.”

Holly then added: “That’s a day we will both never forget.”

The small screen favourite is also mum to Harry, 10, and eight-year-old Belle, with her husband Dan Baldwin.

The beauty wed the television producer back in 2007 and she now regularly shares glimpses into the home life on the picture-sharing app.

Her latest shot saw her inundated with replies, with fellow presenter Kate Thornton telling her: “Good luck Chester! Tissues at the ready Hol x.”

While the official This Morning account posted a red heart emoji, another fan stated: “Doesn’t matter who you are.

“There is no way you can miss special moments like this. So glad they managed to sort this out for you. Hope he has the best day.”

A second went on: “Aww Holly so glad you got to experience this very special moment hope he has the most amazing day xx.”

Just hours earlier, Holly had rejected on the start of school, sharing a photo of her children’ shoes all lined up by the door.

“Back to school… who else’s front door looks like this… Big day for Chester tomorrow, 1st day of school.

“Good-luck to anyone else starting their school journey… can’t believe he’s at this stage already,” she said.

Tess Daly replied, saying: “Bless,” while Davina McCall went on: “Mine x but the shoes are BIG!!!”

This Morning airs weekdays at 10.30am on ITV.
