Royal Caribbean cruises offers passengers huge £250 free on re-vamped flagship Allure

Royal Caribbean revealed the revamp of its flagship Allure of the Seas earlier this year and, to celebrate its new look, the ship is offering passengers a host of freebies. The vessel has undergone a 58-day makeover, costing $165 million – or £135,000,000. Bosses of the cruise ship firm have told how it will now strive to boast “the ultimate summer holiday in Europe” and “line-up of new features.” This includes a seven day Mediterranean Cruises route from homeport Barcelona, Spain on May 10, 2020.

It will begin at Barcelona, Spain, then travel to destinations Palma De Mallorca, Spain, Marseille, France, Florence/Pisa (La Spezia), Italy, Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy and Naples, Italy, before returning to Barcelona.

The itinerary will open the summer schedule for the ship, which has a host of freebies for lucky passengers on board.

Royal Caribbean released a statement on the special offer, which said: “Guests who book before 2nd September, will also be able to make the most of an extra $300 onboard spend on Allure of the Seas, and $200 on other sailings.

It added: “Guests will be able to conquer a continent’s worth of adventures and come back for more with Allure’s upcoming line-up of new features, including the Ultimate Abyss, the tallest slide at sea; The Perfect Storm trio of waterslides and completely redesigned Adventure Ocean and teen spaces.”

Prices start at £845 per person based on two people sharing an Interior stateroom, or guests can upgrade to an Oceanview room for an additional £150 per person.

Meanwhile, there will also be the first Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar as well as Quantum Class original Music Hall – taking live music to the next level.

Passengers keen for more adventure can enjoy glow-in-the-dark laser tag in “Clash for the Crystal City”.

There is also Royal Escape Room – Apollo 18: Lunar Landing, an out-of-this-world expedition that challenges guests to solve puzzle after puzzle before time runs out.

If passengers want to relax after their escapades there will be a reimagined pool deck.

Those keen to indulge in good food and drink while on their holiday will also not be disappointed.

Portside BBQ will serve up a menu inspired by popular barbecue styles across the United States, including brisket, pulled pork, chicken, burnt ends, mac and cheese, homestyle cornbread and more.

As for drinks, Bionic Bar by Makr Shakr, manned by two robot bartenders will be shaking up classic cocktails and custom orders.

Royal Caribbean additionally revealed a major overhaul to its food offering, which will feature across all ships.

A host of new vegan only menus have been introduced and can be found in the main dining room of each ship.

The vegan specific dishes will be collated on one menu, and supplement the already existing vegan food on ship.

Three course menus will even be available to order, with dishes including edamame-stuffed Portobello mushrooms, vegan spaghetti “bolognaise” and orzo pasta stew with green vegetables.

Those with a sweet tooth and aversion to meat, fish and dairy can indulge in desserts such as a toffee “cheesecake” with dark chocolate and a peanut butter crust.
